Amun-Ra
This model was created as the final project for my thesis. The concept is based on the Egyptian god Amun-Ra, who is the embodiment of two gods; Amun and Ra, in a single figure.
Amun is an invisible god who created all forms of life. He is also depicted as a sun god, the kind of all gods and the soul of all things. While Ra is the falcon god who created all the stars and the earth.
The character’s design features various symbols that represent each god. Amun is represented by the symbol at the palm of his hand, and the spherical object at the center of the staff to represent the sun. While Ra is represented by the feathered armor around his chest and, the falcons on the metal pieces at the front of the kilt.
Amun-Ra is commonly depicted wearing a double feathered plume on his head which symbolizes the combination of the two gods. It is usually shown as two large cylindrical objects, however, I decided to adapt the design while still keeping the basic idea of what it represents.
The sculpture, Retopology, and UVs were created in Zbrush. Baking and texturing were done in Substance 3D Painter. While the final render was done in Unreal Engine 5.
