About the designer

I’m Amy Mallia, the artist behind Luna Labs. I create digital sculptures, custom 3D models, and finished printed pieces, with a focus on character, detail, and making ideas feel tangible. What started as an interest in design and visual storytelling grew into a personal studio where I can take a concept from sketch or reference all the way to a finished physical piece.

I hold a First-Class degree in Game Art & Visual Design, which shaped the way I approach form, silhouette, and visual storytelling. My work sits between digital art and fabrication: I enjoy not only sculpting a model on screen, but also seeing it come to life as a finished print.

My Process

1. Concept & Planning

Every project starts with an idea, reference images, or a rough brief. At this stage, I focus on the style, shape language, and how the final piece should feel.

2. Digital Sculpting / Modelling

I build the model with both aesthetics and practicality in mind. That means paying attention not only to the design itself, but also to structure, detail, and how the piece will translate into a printable object.

3. Preparing for Print

Once the design is complete, I prepare it for production through clean geometry, thoughtful part separation, and print planning. This is where artistic work meets technical problem-solving.

4. Printing & Finishing
After printing, I inspect, clean, and refine the piece so the final result feels polished and intentional. For selected projects, I also offer painting and hand-finished detail work.
